My name is Jon Gumtow and this is a picture at one of my favorite urban shorelines along the Fox River in Neenah. This is a special place because restoring this 35 acre former industrial waterfront property showcases how community and partnerships can come together to transform an underutilized area to a multi-use public space that improves shoreline habitat for fish and wildlife.

Over 90% of lawn chemicals end up in our groundwater which is our drinking water. Lake Michigan has more than 10 million people who depend on it for water. Ground water flows into the lake. wise, protect our lakes!
